REOI to identify prequalified subcontractors for anticipated projects, GC/BC-3 , GC/BC-4 , IRD

International Relief and Development (IRD) has been contracted by the United States Agency for International Development  (USAID) to construct new health facilities and renovate existing health facilities throughout Ethiopia under the USAID-funded Ethiopia Health Infrastructure Program (EHIP).

The purpose of this REOI is to select/identify prequalified subcontractors for anticipated Request for Proposals (RFPs) of new construction and renovation of existing health center

Interested General/Building Contractors of

  1. Category GC/BC-3 and above for new construction
  2. Category GC/BC-4 and above for renovation of existing health center

Registered by Ethiopia Ministry of Urban Development and Construction has to submit prequalification document to IRD office by no later than July 01, 2014 at 2:00PM (Addis Ababa time).

The pre qualification document should include

. Renewed Business License, Work Registration License, TIN and VAT certificates/ other relevant            documents valid for the current year 2006E.C (2013/14)

.  Past Performance on renovation and new construction of health facilities

. Qualification & Experiences of Key Personnel

.Financial Capability and Equipment Availability, as per the forms availed to subcontractors by IRD.


The Soft/electronic copy of the instruction & forms of the REOI-008 may be picked up from Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (Addis Ababa time) from IRD/EHIP office located at Bole Sub-city, Woreda 03, House No 162/710, TK International Building No 2, 5th floor Addis Ababa until Monday June 30 2014.


IRD intends to issue the RFPs to those companies that will be pre-qualified through this REOI-008.
